It is called Bentong ginger because it is produced in the Bentong district of Pahang, Malaysia. It is also called “wind ginger” or “purple ginger”. In order to ensure the quality of Bentong ginger, it must be fallow for up to 5 years after planting and harvesting. It will take 6 years to replant.
Bentong ginger wins its gingerol with high ingredients, strong spicy, fragrant, aromatic and spicy taste. It has high health value and strong body wind effect.
It can effectively eliminate the so‐called “body wind”, warm body temperature, and taste better than ordinary ginger. Therefore, Bentong ginger is also known as the “king of ginger”.
